People’s Self-Help Housing is the Central Coast’s leading nonprofit affordable housing developer, serving low-income families, seniors, veterans, farmworkers, and individuals with disabilities. Since 1970, PSHH has built and managed safe, high-quality housing while providing comprehensive support services, including financial education, social work, and site-based academic programs. With over 55 years of impact, PSHH transforms lives and communities by fostering housing stability, economic mobility, and educational success.

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit that in 2025 and 2026 is building Buellton Garden Apartments, an affordable housing complex for low-income households in Buellton that will provide its residents with safe, secure, and evolved support to lift them out of poverty and into successful careers that support their community.
