Description

SYV Fruit & Vegetable, aka Veggie Rescue, is an anti-hunger and anti-food waste organization that collects surplus produce and other food from 60 farms and businesses throughout Santa Barbara County, and donates them within 24 hours via our refrigerated trucks to nonprofits, schoo, and churches serving hungry people. In 2024, we rescued and donated 630,000 pounds of food (food that frequently winds up in landfills, where it releases methane, a harmful greenhouse gas).
